Tree Ecosystem Assessment (TEA)

Having problems with your trees?
Call a forester over for TEA
TEA is an assessment of your trees and their ecosystem,
with a forestry prescription for their health and vitality.

Forest Health Practitioners write prescriptions to put nature to work with your trees.

The task of tree care becomes manageable (even enjoyable) with knowledge of your own trees, applied forest ecology and sustainable agroforestry practices.

Rural Forestry & Urban Forestry

The rural forest has distinct character with nature's great complexity - compared to the concrete of the urban forest. Urban Forestry was primarily developed for arborists pruning shade trees in urban cities and towns. In contrast, Rural Forestry is a rich mosaic of silvic sciences involving forest health practitioners, applied forest ecology and sustainable agroforestry.

Rural Forestry - draws from a broad range of silvic sciences for:

  • Economic use of material resources  - a better investment on the care of your trees and wooded stands.
  • Efficient use of time and effort - for greater freedom to enjoy  your trees and wooded stands.
  • Ecosystem sustaining   - a supportive tree ecosystem improves tree health and vitality, reducing the need for pesticide treatments.

Tree Ecosystem Assessment (TEA)

consists of:

  1.  A Stand Assessment  of your trees.
  2.  A Diagnosis  of specific insects, disease or abiotic stressors.
  3.  A Forestry Prescription  grounded in a mosaic of silvic sciences.
  4.  Specialized Instructions  for improving your tree ecosystem.
